This is a THE BOARD.

Surfing and the North Shore go hand in hand.
The Waialua Sugar Mill is home to more big name surfboard shapers, glassers and air brushers than any other place on earth. I have no data to back that up but it could be the true. The main image on the head of this page is Dan Moore surfing a 68 foot wave last winter over on Maui. Dan has a business here in the Sugar Mill. This wave is larger than the soap factory cone shaped building in the front of the park. If you ever visit the sugar mill stop by and check the building and look up at the roof and really get a grasp of what 60 foot looks like and imagin a wave towering over that.Working here in the park and seeing the business of making surfboards buszzing week after week is really cool. I see all the shapers and their customers comming and going. It is cool to be a part of it. If someone from this area can write a artical thet can sum up this great surfing industry in the Waialua Sugar Mill I will post it.
